Rick Rietveld's award winning illustrations are widely acclaimed in the domestic and international surf industry. He received the 1988 OBIE Award for creative excellence in the outdoor advertising medium and the Merit Award in the Clothing, Apparel and Accessories category for the United States. in 1986 he received the Orange County Advertising Federation Award of Excellence for a series of illustrated advertisements which appeared in Surfer and Surfing Magazines. His work has also been published in Print Magazine's Regional Design Annual.
